In 1953 Jan Bosman developed a wall-to-wall woven sisal carpet. On the basis of the famous principle, new products are developed on every day. This controversial invention was developed in the Netherlands and was used to weave carpets with hemp, sisal and coconut fibres which were manufactured into broadloom carpet. a further development saw Woven woollen carpets developed on the same machines and Jabo became well-known and famous.



The brand Jabo became so well known that sisal was no longer called sisal. You went to the local interior decorator and bought Jabo this memory is still very much alive in many people.
